Where are the Elite Latin Dance Co. Classes held?
All of our Beginners & Social classes are held on Tuesday’s & Thursday’s in our waterfront air-conditioned studio space in Emerald Lakes, Carrara.
Not sure where that is? Click here to see video directions of where to find us.
Can I do a Trial Class?
We don’t offer Trial Classes, but we do offer a “Love it or Leave it Guarantee” for all of our New Students.

I already have some dance experience, what level should I sign up for?
Great question and it really does depend on your experience level.
As a general rule of thumb though, anyone with less than 2 months experience should stick to Beginners.
For improver level, you must have done a minimum 2 months of formal learning in the dance style, preferably in the last 12 months.
For our intermediate level, only dancers with more than 6 months experience are invited into this level.
If you’re unsure though, we recommend trying the level lower than you think would suit you, and if our instructors think it’s not the right fit for you, you’re welcome to stay back and try the higher level.
New Students with prior dance experience can try their first week of unlimited classes for Free, to give you a chance to work out what level is right for you.
What style of Salsa do you teach?
I don't have a partner, can I still come on my own?
Absolutely!
Many people come to class by themselves and rotate in with our other dancers. Some bring their Significant Other. Some come with a group of friends or workmates.
Everyone is welcome and we rotate partners so everyone has a chance to dance with everyone else – it’s a great way to meet new friends and it’s the quickest way to improve too!
I have two left feet! What if I can't dance?
If you can walk and count to 8, then we’re confident we can teach you to dance!
BUT if you don’t love your first class and don’t want to continue, let us know within 2 days and we will refund 100% of your enrolment. (Please note that each enrolment occupies a spot in a limited class size, so we cannot process refunds for no-shows, so make sure you don’t miss your first class.)
What should I wear to my first Salsa or Bachata class?
Bring a bottle of water and just wear whatever you’re going to be most comfortable in.
Some people prefer to come in Activewear, some people like to dress up – it’s your choice.
Ladies, if you’re going to wear a skirt or dress, just do a quick spin test in front of the mirror before you leave the house, to make sure you’re comfortable it won’t fly or ride up.
For shoes, you must wear appropriate footwear in every class.
Most new dancers will choose to wear Sneakers, which is a great option, but just make sure you pick ones that aren’t too grippy on the sole (don’t want to jar any knees or ankles when you spin).
Ladies, if you are comfortable walking in heels and would like to wear heels, you’re more than welcome, but we wouldn’t recommend anything higher than 2-3 inches, and make sure they’ve got straps so your shoe won’t slide off in the middle of a move.
What happens at the end of my 8 week Beginners course?
At the end of the your first beginners course you will be presented with a certificate of completion and an invitation to continue learning Latin dancing through our progressive weekly classes.
Your instructor will let you know at the end of your course what the best classes for you on our timetable would be, based on an Assessment in Week 8
