In August 2023, Elite Latin Dance Co. travelled together to Adelaide Sensual Weekend for a full weekend of performances, workshops, social dancing and time together away from the Gold Coast.
Two team debuts across the weekend
Friday night marked the debut performance of our Amateur Bachata team. Dressed in black, the team took their new routine to the Adelaide stage for the first time and kicked off a big weekend for Elite.
On Saturday night it was the Open Bachata team’s turn. Performing in red, they made their own debut and gave the travelling Elite crew another performance to share and celebrate together.
Teaching, dancing and learning together
The weekend was not only about performing. Elite instructors Kristian and Kristi also taught a Bachata workshop, while the team had the chance to take in the event and enjoy social dancing every night.
A Sunday surprise in the Barossa Valley
Sunday brought a change of scenery, with the event moving to a surprise venue at a winery in the Barossa Valley. Unlimited wine was included in everyone’s party ticket, turning the final day into a particularly memorable finish to the weekend.
A team trip beyond the dance floor
Between performances, workshops and socials, the teams stayed together in Airbnbs for the weekend. That time away from the event gave everyone a chance to bond as a team and made the Adelaide trip about much more than what happened on stage.
