Elite group classes are designed to give adults the skills and confidence to actually use their dancing - in class, at Latin socials and on dance floors anywhere.
You’ll develop timing, connection, leading and following, partnerwork, musicality and movement while getting to know a room full of people learning alongside you. You don’t need to bring a partner.

Your previous school’s “Intermediate” may not mean exactly the same thing at Elite - and that’s completely normal. We place dancers according to the foundations they already have so you’re challenged without missing skills you need later.

You do not need a partner to join group classes. Partner rotation is a normal part of learning social Salsa and Bachata and helps you become a more adaptable lead or follow.
Rather than learning to dance with only one person, you learn to communicate through connection, timing and technique - skills that transfer to the social dance floor.

Classes are only one part of becoming a social dancer. Elite has always been about the friendships, nights out, events, workshops and shared experiences that happen around the dancing too.
Whether you arrive by yourself or with friends, the aim is to create a Gold Coast Latin dance community where people genuinely know each other.

Elite Latin Dance Co teaches adult Latin dance on the Gold Coast, with Salsa, Bachata and social-dance training for complete beginners through to experienced dancers. Our returning group timetable and venue details will be released as the new program is confirmed.

GROUP CLASS FAQs
Do I need a partner for Latin dance classes?
No. You’re welcome to come by yourself. Group classes use partner rotation so students learn to lead or follow with different people.
Can complete beginners join?
Yes. If you have never danced before, start with our New Students pathway so you can learn timing, basic steps and partnerwork foundations from the beginning.
How do I know which class level to choose?
If you already have Latin dance experience, contact us with the styles you’ve danced, how long you’ve danced and your previous level. We can help place you in the most suitable class.
Do you teach both Salsa and Bachata?
Yes. Salsa and Bachata are core social Latin styles at Elite. The exact styles offered on each night will depend on the released timetable and level.
What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and secure shoes that allow you to turn safely. You do not need specialist dancewear to get started.
Where are Elite group classes held?
Elite Latin Dance Co is based on the Gold Coast. Our current Absolute Beginners intake is open now. If you are new to dance, start with the New Students pathway; experienced dancers can view the current group-class options.
