Elite Latin Dance Co. director Kristi Hall returned to the Brisbane dance floor this week, teaching alongside Brazilian dancer Tiago Mendes at Bachata Brats in West End.
The workshop brought together a room full of dancers for an energetic night of learning, laughs and Bachata. Bachata Brats described the combination of Kristi’s attention to detail and Tiago’s smooth Brazilian flavour as a workshop Brisbane dancers would not forget any time soon.
Technique meets Brazilian flavour
Kristi’s teaching has long focused on the details that make social dancing feel better: body action, timing, partner connection, movement quality and understanding why a technique works rather than simply memorising a pattern.
Paired with Tiago’s relaxed Brazilian movement and musical approach, the workshop gave dancers two complementary perspectives in the same class.
Brisbane and Gold Coast Bachata coaching
Kristi teaches Bachata through Elite Latin Dance Co. and works with dancers from complete beginners through to competitive performers. Students looking for individual coaching can also book private Latin dance lessons.
Thank you to Bachata Brats and everyone who joined us in Brisbane for such a welcoming night on the dance floor.
