Another year, another gold for Cairns dancer David, who has once again won his Masters Salsa Solo division at World Salsa Solo.
David trains with Elite director Kristi Hall despite living more than 1,700 kilometres from the Gold Coast. The overwhelming majority of his coaching is completed remotely, with in-person lessons added whenever travel creates the opportunity.
Remote Salsa coaching with real competition results
Training a competition solo online demands consistency from both coach and dancer. Sessions can focus closely on timing, footwork, body action, choreography, musical interpretation and performance, with video making it possible to review details repeatedly between lessons.
David’s repeat success demonstrates that geography does not have to prevent an experienced dancer from accessing specialist coaching.
Congratulations, David
We are incredibly proud to see the work translate to another first-place result. Congratulations on another Masters Salsa Solo title.
Elite offers private and online dance coaching for dancers who want targeted training, including Salsa technique and competition preparation.
